Poor complaint handling and unreasonable withdrawal process

I deposited £200 into my NetBet account via Google Pay. £80 was used for betting and I requested the remaining £120 to be withdrawn. Instead of processing the withdrawal NetBet demanded a copy of my bank statement and ID despite having already verified my details when taking the deposit.I have since raised a formal complaint but the replies I’ve received are generic do not acknowledge the complaint and fail to address the core issue. Each response simply repeats the same information and ignores my concerns about data protection and security.NetBet’s own terms state they “reserve the right” to carry out additional checks not that these are mandatory. Every other online merchant I deal with refunds to the original payment method automatically.So far the handling of this issue has been frustrating opaque and unprofessional. I’ve now asked for formal escalation and will be referring the case to IBAS and the UK Gambling Commission if it remains unresolved.I’d strongly advise anyone depositing through Google Pay or by debit to be aware that NetBet may block your withdrawal and demand sensitive personal documents even when the deposit was accepted instantly.

Misleading advertisement & Delaying refund

(My NetBet username: Pingpong76)They misled me to believe that sports betting is available on their platform. I opened an account sent my docs to verify it and then made a very small (first) deposit of €20. However after making my first deposit I noticed that I could not bet on any sports and kept getting the insufficient funds error message (depsite the fact that I had enough funds in my account to cover my bet). Contacted their support team about this issue and was only then told that sport betting is not available for residents of Austria & Germany (even though the sports section is completely open and active on NetBet).I asked for a refund and after some days of delay their nonsensical requests for more documents (such as my bank card photos and bank statements) and them inviting me to play casino games (which are most probably rigged) they finally agreed to refund my deposit when I threatened to take legal action against them if they kept wasting my time and did not refund my deposit.Was going to give 1 star but gave 2 stars simply because they finally refunded my deposit.
